I was shocked speechless. He had agreed... that quickly. Was he sick? Losing his mind? What was going on? I wouldn't question him about it, because he may change his mind. Zillah walked over and took the blankets from my hands. Placing them down where I would have placed them. I stood there and just watched him til he looked at me and told me he could only stay in here for tonight. That's the catch... damn him. I'd figure out a way to keep him in this room. I had this feeling that Zigor would eventually get himself in trouble. Then I'd hear hell from Zillah. Oh well... can't be worse then the first day in the house. Zillah walked out of the room not giving me the time to argue with him. I sighed and turned to Zigor. Picking him up in my hands I spoke out loud to him, being amused by his sleepy look. "Don't get yourself in trouble little one." I placed Zigor down on the blankets on the floor and he curled into a ball. I turned out the light and shut the door. "Please don't break anything!" I whispered into the shut door.
I walked down the hall and into my room. I changed out of the closes I was in, and into some silky pj's. If I have to wear clothes they are going to be comfy. Leaving my room, I walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. The only thing in our fridge are bottles of water. I picked up two of the bottles, and walked into the living room, stopping at the door as I saw what Zillah was watching. Bobcats? We have one of our own and he wants to watch TV about them? Yup, he must be sick. I gave him my famous 'have you lost your mind?!' look. "Is there somethin wrong?" Zillah asked me. I was about to speak until an idea hit me. My glare turned to a grin. "You like him! Haha.... You do, you like him." My wolfish grin showed that I was teasing him. I walked over to the couch and tossed a water at him as I sat down. He caught it as always. I opened my water and drank half of it before Zillah even said anything to me.

“You like him! Haha…. You do you like him.” Her grin was slightly in a teasing form. I caught the water she threw at me and slowly drank from it. “I don’t like him. I flipped to the wildlife channel and this was on.” Her grin grew bigger as she heard what I said. I drank the rest of my water and flipped to another wildlife channel. Believe it or not, it was about panthers. “What is with all the cats?! This is despicable!” Zevah’s wolfish grin was growing as I flipped through the channels. “I already told you I don’t like him!” I stood up and went into the kitchen for another bottle of water. “Want me to get you another water?” Zevah shook her head yes and I threw her a bottle from across the room. “I’ll be back down in a minute.” I went up the stairs and into my room and grabbed my pair of fuzzy pj”s. I put them on and went back into the living room. Hopefully Zevah had switched it to a good channel. When I looked at the TV it was back on the bobcat wildlife channel. “Still convinced I like him eh?” I sat down and drained my bottle of water as the bobcat pounced on a giant deer. Zevah said, “You like him, whether you like it or not you LIKE him.”
We turned off the show and headed our separate ways as we went to bed. I saw Zigor sleeping as still as a rock on his blankets. I chuckled to myself and I fell asleep on my bed of fresh silk sheets.

I couldn't help but tease him with my grin. He was denying what was very obvious. He flipped the channel to our second favorite wildlife dedicated show and it was about panthers. I rubbed this in although I knew it was just a coincidence. “What is with all the cats?! This is despicable!” Zillah almost shouted. I immediately looked up the stares to make sure he didn't wake the kitten. "Keep your big mouth down." I said to him as he got up still with that same smile. I nodded my head as he asked me if I wanted another water, seeing as mine was gone. I reached across the couch to pick up the remote, and flipped through all the channels, only pausing to catch the water Zillah slung across the room. He went up the stairs and I became curious of what he was doing. The kitten was in his room and he had just got done with a conversation about him. I left the TV on a random show that almost grabbed my attention, but I was really listening for any kind of sounds from upstairs. I heard Zillah began to walk down the stairs and quickly switched it back to the Bobcat show. “Still convinced I like him eh?” Zillah asked as he spotted what was on the television. “You like him. Whether you like it or not, you LIKE him.” I was convinced he was at least a tiny bit found of the cat, I could tell. I know Zillah, easy as that. He flopped back down on the couch in his newly found attire and I continued with my teasing. "If you didn't like him then you wouldn't of let him sleep in your room, and he most likely would of been in shreds by now. But instead, you helped clean up his messes, give him a bath, and set up his bed for him... so what does that tell me?" I laughed at him as I watched him totally ignore me. I was right. I had won the battle.
The show got boring after awhile and I grew tired. I yawned and stretched from my slouched position on the couch. Zillah did the same, so we both then agreed without words that we were going to bed. I clicked the button on the remote and turned off the TV. I first headed into the kitchen as he walked up the stairs. I followed soon after flipping off the light to the kitchen. He went toward his room and I went toward mine. "Nights Zillah." I mumbled as I opened my door and closed it behind me. I hit the bed, and planted my face down in the pillow. I found it easier to sleep this way. It seemed I was asleep ten minutes before I heard a crash from down the hallway.

Silk sheets were flying through the air as i got up to see what the bobcat had done. i reached for the light, but there was no light. there wasn't even an end table. The cat had knocked over my hand carved end table and lamp. I reached for the other lamp, luckily that one was still intact and on the end table. i turned the light on to inspect the damage. thankfully for me the lamp and end table weren't broken. they had landed on Zigors blankets as he had jumped on the table. I set the table back up and picked up the cats blanket and put them outside my door. i then picked up the cat and set him on his blankets and told him to stay.
It was the middle of the night and I heard scratching coming from Zevahs door. I ignored the tired yell to take the cat back into my room and fell asleep once more...until claws popped into my back. "OW! What was that for?" Zevah glared at me as if it was my fault she was still awake. "The cat was a nuisance so i put him by my door. It's not my fault your the mother figure of Zigor." Her glare grew as i said that. "What? am i supposed to be the father figure?"

I laid there and waited for Zillah to demand me to come there. But it never happened. All I heard was his door open, and then his door close. I stayed awake for as long as I could last just waiting for Zillah to storm into my room or something, but it never happened. I dozed back off to sleep, not caring to wait any longer. Relaxation finally came, and the dream followed. I was in a cave somewhere. A beautiful cave with shimmering walls. I could here the sound of water, somewhere toward the back of the cave. I laid off to the right side it seemed but I couldn't get up. Something or maybe someone was holding me down. I looked down around my body, and what I saw, surprised me speechless. Four pups. Three standard gray, and one black. Something about the one black pup grasped my attention. It had one white patch on its left eye. Were these my pups? No. They couldn't be. I wasn't of mating age and I have no mate. A shadow formed across the cave and I followed it with my gaze to its owner. Before I even saw the wolf everything disappeared. I was in my bed, awake. Then I heard it. The noise that had waken me up from an interesting dream. My door rattled as claws scratched at the base of it. I grew angry, but not at the cat that didn't understand. I opened my door and picked up Zigor. I walked quietly, not even tired any more across the hall. There I saw Zigor's blankets, placed in front of Zillah's door. I opened the door, stepping over the blankets and saw that Zillah was already fast asleep. Not for long. One thing I can saw I've learned on the wildlife channels are cats reinforce their falls with their claws. I dropped Zigor, the poor cat not expecting it. Zigor landed in the center of Zillah's back, and I picked Zigor back up before Zillah could throw him off.
"OW! What was that for?!" I glared at him. There was no need for words. "The cat was a nuisance so i put him by my door. It's not my fault your the mother figure of Zigor." The mother figure? Is this what I really was? I didn't show the question in my glare but simply intensified it as I waited for him to draw the right conclusion. "What? am i supposed to be the father figure?" Zillah continued. If I was to be the damned mother figure then he was going to be the father figure. "Yes, yes you are! And being a father figure included watching the child figure while the mother figure sleeps!" Was it so hard just to keep him for one night? Why would he make this more complicated then it has to be? "You said he can stay in here for tonight. That doesn't mean outside your door. I was in the middle of a dream that I........ it doesn't matter, but I was trying to sleep!" I set Zigor down to Zillah's side and turned to walk out the door. Zillah stopped me before I could fully leave.

I grabbed Zevah's arm before she fully left my room. "What's troubling you? Don't lie I can tell there's something." I grabbed Zigor's blankets before i sat down on the bed and waited for Zevah to speak. Zigor was sitting on his blankets with a semi-worried look on his face staring at Zevah. I fixed his blankets so he could sleep, but he was focused on Zevah. "Well now you've got Zigor worried." I looked at the clock to see what time it was. It was almost 3:00 in the morning. Zevah still had her "worried" look, but she also was looking like she wasn't going to say anything at the moment. "Would you like to speak of this tomorrow?" I asked this question calmly but firmly. Whatever was on her mind she would speak of when she felt right. Her features slowly smoothed out as she thought of whatever was on her mind.

I felt Zillah's hand around my arm, which wasn't like him. He normally didn't touch me unless we were playing. I pulled away from his grip, and he willingly let me go. If he wanted to hold me there, he could of, but it wasn't aggression, he was only worried. What was troubling me? That's just like Zillah, he's always been able to seance how I was feeling. The dream... should I tell him? He might take it the wrong way... I really didn't want to tell him about it. He grabbed Zigor's blankets and repositioned them. I didn't say anything. I just stood there, debating with myself. This was Zillah, shouldn't I tell him? "Well now you've got Zigor worried." Zillah spoke seance I didn't. I could tell he wanted to bring out what was going on, so anything that may help. But this just didn't feel right. I paid no mind to Zigor right now. He didn't understand, neither of them would ever really understand. "Would you like to speak of this tomorrow?" Zillah asked. The relief fell off my shoulders. He wasn't going to make me tell him tonight. But he would expect to be told tomorrow. Fine. I relaxed myself and turned towards the door and began walking out "Tomorrow." was all I said as I walked out of his room. I heard him get up and walk to his door and watch me walk into my room. Shutting my door I went back over to my bed. Turning to my side, I laid there trying to force myself to sleep.
The rest of the night, I watched the time pass by, minute by minute. I finally feel asleep around 9am... just to be woken up at 10:30am. It was time to take care of the kid figure and most likely speak to the father figure... wait if he was the father figure to Zigor wut would that make him towards me?...... ...... ...... No, nope.
I got up and walked down the stairs. I didn't have the energy to get dressed, nor did I care to. I walked around the house several times before realizing Zillah and Zigor weren't there. Little did I care at the moment. As I walked out of the kitchen and toward the living room, again Zillah stopped me in my tracks. Only this time it wasn't with force or even with words. He simply opened the door then shut it. I couldn't seance Zigor, so I became very cautious, very fast.

I got up early that morning. I took Zigor outside so he could hunt little rabbits and do his business. I heard that Zevah had woken up inside so i let Zigor hunt his rabbits and walked inside. Shutting the door behind me i saw Zevah there looking stunned. I knew she what she was looking stunned about. "Don't worry about Zigor, he's outside hunting rabbits." Her expression went from stunned worry to an almost teasing me with her eyes. She said to me, "You must like him if you took him out!" I sighed as she said those words. "Do you not remember what you said last night? Look back and you'll know why i took him out. And we still haven't started our talk about why your worried." I went into the kitchen and grabbed a couple bottles of water. I could tell we were going to need them.
I had gotten Zigor inside before we started our conversation. He had caught a nice juicy rabbit and was carrying it around like a trophy. "OK Zevah, this has gone on long enough. Tell me what is troubleing you."

I was no longer worried as I heard Zillah's response to my expression, but instead amusement wrapped around me. My eyes foretold my amusement. "You must like him if you took him out!" I said to Zillah still teasing him. He revealed no humor or even annoyance to this comment. He heaved a sigh and the humor dissolved from me "Do you not remember what you said last night? Look back and you'll know why I took him out. And we still haven't started our talk about why your worried." Instantly I knew what he was talking about. Memory of the dream suck back in and again I grew reluctant to tell him. But Zillah wouldn't be humorous or playful at all until I did. He left me standing there, and returned outside. He arrived moments later at my side with Zigor in his hands. I half-heartedly smiled at Zigor as I saw the rabbit hanging limp from his mouth. Zillah set Zigor on the floor and went into the kitchen, returning with several bottles of water. What did he think this was going to be, an all evening conversation? I sat there, awaiting him to begin his questioning.
"OK Zevah, this has gone on long enough. Tell me what is troubling you." normally I would have laughed at something like that, but the dream disturbed me. I still wasn't sure if I wanted to tell him about it or not. "It's nothing really Zillah. It was just a dream, and I was just tired..." I trialed off hoping he wouldn't notice the reluctance. I watched Zigor as he flaunted his kill off to random objects about the room, not making eye contact with Zillah.

"Nothing really Zillah. It was just a dream and i was tired..." She didn't make eye contact so I could tell it was really bothering her. "Are you sure that's all Zevah?" Zigor wandered next to the couch and started to play with his rabbit. "I...." Zevah wandered off in her speech. "I can tell there's something wrong. You can keep it a secret but I will eventually find out." Zevahs look became one of partial fear. "I..It was the dream....." I drank a bottle of water as she started to speak. She stopped speaking as we heard a little cry and blood spattering on the floor. "I'll clean this up while you continue." Zevah looked hesitant but continued to speak

I could tell Zillah wanted me to get on with the story. The way he urged me to continue. Why did he have to care so much? "I..." I didn't want to give in to him, but he was winning. I wanted to tell someone, but I also wanted to keep it locked up inside me, never to let anyone find out. "I can tell there's something wrong. You can keep it a secret but I will eventually find out." Zillah declared. I was very ready to ask him how he proposed to find out without me telling him, but my mind wouldn't let me argue. Then all thoughts changed from challenging to worry. What if Zillah did find out and he took it all the wrong way? Then what would happen? Would everything change? I decided then that I would tell him, but still my reluctance fought me. "I... it was the dream..." I had to gather my words, and decide what I was to say, and how much I'd tell him. A noise came from the adjacent side of the couch and then blood hit the floor. I paid no mind to it until Zillah got up. He left the room for maybe five seconds and returned with a towel in his hand. "Well... It was in this... really big cave. Bigger then any cave I've ever seen. And I was laying in a corner where I could see the entire surrounding. I could here running water and the cave itself shimmering in natural crystals... But then I tried to get up, to explore... But I couldn't move. I was stuck there like if someone was holding me down against my will. And I looked down to my feet... and... and there was... four... pups... just lying there, sleeping... Three of them were standard grays... nothing significant with them... but the forth... It was solid black... with one white patch over his left eye. The four of them squirmed and dreamed as they slept. And then a shadow loomed over us all. A shadow of a wolf. I followed the shadow with my eyes, as I couldn't move still, but just before I saw the first piece of fur on the wolfs body... I was awoke by... Zigor..." I trailed off again. I had given in and didn't dare look at Zillah's expression just yet.

I was stunned. This dream...Zevah had a pack....but who was the mysterious wolf that she didn't see... If i hadn't of put Zigor out she might know the answer to that now. I have never heard of a were wolf seeing the future, but then again this may be just a dream...a longing maybe? "Well....That's...interesting...." Zevah looked up at me questioningly. I drank two more bottles of water. I needed to drink something to make sure i wasn't dehydrated and imagining things. "I'm not irritated or confused or taking that any wrong way...if that's what your thinking" Zigor had finished eating/playing with his rabbit, so i went and picked up the bones and threw them out. I came back and Zillah said she was gonna take Zigor out for a stretch or walk or something.

I waited for any sort of response, but I heard none. I sat there, on the couch, and just waited. Moments past. What was he thinking? I wouldn't look at him. Not until he said something. "Well... that's... interesting..." he sounded more confused about the dream then I did. Maybe I wasn't focusing on it like I probably should have been. I looked up at him. My eye's asking a question of their own. He didn't say, or do anything. He moved around the couch, and sat back down where he started. Still he said nothing more. Didn't even look at me. I watched with patience as he drank two whole bottles of water. My head started to hurt suddenly. I opened my mouth to say something to him right as he began talking. "I'm not irritated, or confused, or taking that any wrong way... if that's what your thinking" why are werewolves so easy to read for Zillah? Especially me. Zillah could read me like a book. Yet, he could keep a secret his entire life without me figuring it out. I heaved a sigh. Zillah got up and again began cleaning Zigor's mess up. I should have probably been doing that. I couldn't sit there any longer. It felt wrong. When Zillah walked back into the room and got up off the couch. "Im taking Zillah out for a walk or stretch or... whatever." I didn't care to wait for his protest. I called for Zigor as I rounded the corner, and he followed without hesitation. He's a good... companion? As I neared the door I noticed Zillah had followed me. I heaved another sigh. I wouldn't stop him from following me. I opened the door and stepped out, walking straight for the woods. I'd be able to think clearer in my true form.

Zevah walked outside and i followed. Mostly because I can't stand to be alone in enclosed spaces. We ran into the woods with Zevah carrying Zigor. Once we got into the tree line we both morphed into our wolf forms. Zigor jumped up and down like he was an excited toddler being picked up from daycare. We walked for a while until we were fairly deep in the forest. No one was speaking, but i could tell Zevah was thinking about her dream. Zigor was walking next to us very happily. Cats must have short memory. It was only last night that we killed and ate his mom. We continued to walk in complete silence until we reached a ledge.

I leaned down and picked up Zigor. I was running before I even realized it. My thoughts were fogged, and I needed some where to go to forget about it all. As soon as we hit the trees I set Zigor down and took off my clothes. I morphed into my wold form and began walking again, not checking to make sure Zillah was following. I walked on, blind to the environment, barely dodging the trees and bushes. The puppies aren't mind. The cave isn't real. There was no looming wolf shadow. I repeated this over and over in my head, time and time again. My head wouldn't grasp the concept though. I walked on until he came to a ledge. I almost stepped over it, not watching my feet. In front of us was endless blue. A sea that reached up to the base of the ledge. I stared out at it. I pup's weren't mine. The cave... it isn't real. The shadow... it was fake. It was all a dream. Just... a... dream. A... dream. I laid down there on the cliff. My head on my front paws. Zillah sat down next to me and Zigor next to him. "It was just a dream." I spoke out loud, but my mind wasn't there. The dream replayed itself over and over again. I became sick. My head throbbed, and a case of vertigo kicked in. I closed my eyes, and tried to block it out. The water rushes up against the cliff and the wind blew the trees. I could hear the heartbeat of Zillah and Zigor. I drifted off into a sleep "Just... a... dream." I muttered to who ever would listen. The dream replayed in my head. The shimmering cave. The pups. The shadow. Then I woke up. This time to find Zillah looking down at me with a worried look that he changed as soon as he realized I was awake. Zigor was asleep in a ball to Zillah's right, while I laid to his left. I sat up. My head dropped in defeat as I realized again I didn't see the wolf. "It's all just a dream, Zillah." I sighed with great sorrow. "Take Zigor home, would you? I'll follow soon enough."
